Terms of service

TAQUEEN Terms of Service

Effective date: 9 August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the TAQUEEN website, online store, products and related services. By visiting our website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies referenced in them.

TAQUEEN offers DANAT sweets and baked products, handcrafted products, customised products, corporate gifts and related services in the United Arab Emirates.

1. Eligibility and Customer Information

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a purchase agreement or place an order with the involvement and authorisation of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate billing, delivery and contact information. TAQUEEN is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

2. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, dimensions, colours, materials, ingredients, quantities and images accurately. However, colours and appearance may vary depending on the customer’s screen and photographic conditions.

Many TAQUEEN products are handcrafted. Small variations in colour, shape, texture, stitching, glazing, decoration, dimensions or finish are natural characteristics of handmade production and do not necessarily constitute defects.

Product packaging, presentation and minor design details may change without notice where the change does not materially affect the product ordered.

3. Food Products and Allergies

Customers must review the available product description, ingredients, allergen information, storage guidance and expiry information before purchasing or consuming food products.

DANAT products may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including wheat, gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, sesame or soya, depending on the product and production environment.

If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please contact TAQUEEN before ordering. Do not consume a product if its ingredients or suitability are uncertain.

Food products must be stored and consumed according to the instructions supplied with the product.

4. Prices and Taxes

Prices are displayed in UAE dirhams and may include or exclude applicable taxes as indicated during checkout.

Delivery, customisation and other applicable charges will be displayed or communicated before the order is confirmed.

TAQUEEN may change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect an order already accepted and paid for, except where an obvious pricing or technical error has occurred.

5. Orders and Acceptance

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that it has been accepted. TAQUEEN may review product availability, payment status, delivery information and customisation requirements before accepting an order.

An order may be rejected or cancelled where:

  • A product is unavailable.
  • Payment is declined or cannot be verified.
  • Customer or delivery information is incomplete or incorrect.
  • There is an obvious pricing, description or technical error.
  • A customisation request cannot reasonably be produced.
  • The order appears fraudulent, unlawful or intended for misuse.

If TAQUEEN cancels a paid order before fulfilment, the amount received for the cancelled products will be refunded through the applicable payment method, subject to any lawful and disclosed processing conditions.

6. Payment

Online payments are processed in UAE dirhams through authorised payment providers using the payment methods displayed at checkout. Cash on Delivery may be available for eligible orders.

The customer confirms that they are authorised to use the selected payment method.

TAQUEEN does not store complete payment-card numbers. Payment information is processed securely by the applicable payment provider.

7. Customised and Personalised Products

Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all names, text, spelling, dates, colours, sizes, logos, artwork and other customisation details before production begins.

TAQUEEN is not responsible for errors contained in information or artwork approved or supplied by the customer.

Production times for customised products are estimates and may vary according to the product, quantity, design requirements and availability of materials.

Customised or personalised products cannot normally be returned or exchanged because of a change of mind. This does not affect the customer’s rights where a product is defective, damaged, incorrect or does not match the approved customisation.

By submitting a name, logo, image, artwork or other material, the customer confirms that they have the right to use it and authorises TAQUEEN to reproduce it solely as necessary to review and fulfil the order.

8. Corporate and Bulk Orders

Corporate, event, wholesale and bulk orders may be subject to a separate quotation, production schedule, payment terms and approval process.

Where separate written terms are agreed for a corporate or bulk order, those terms will apply to that order in addition to these Terms. If there is a direct conflict, the specifically agreed written terms will take priority for that order.

9. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping methods, delivery charges, estimated delivery times, Sunday shipping restrictions and customer responsibilities are described in our Shipping Policy.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by product availability, public holidays, courier capacity, weather, road conditions, exhibitions, promotional periods or circumstances outside TAQUEEN’s reasonable control.

Previously shipped orders may be delivered on Sundays, but TAQUEEN does not dispatch new shipments on Sundays.

10. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, refunds, applicable courier charges and non-returnable products are governed by our Refund Policy.

Return or exchange requests must be submitted within the period specified in that policy. Products must satisfy the stated eligibility and condition requirements.

Food products, including DANAT products, cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied.

11. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

Customers should inspect their order upon delivery.

A damaged, defective, missing or incorrect product must be reported to TAQUEEN Customer Care within 48 hours of delivery, together with the order details and clear photographs showing the issue.

Approved cases will be handled in accordance with applicable UAE law and the relevant TAQUEEN policy.

12. Customer Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for activity performed through your account.

You must notify TAQUEEN if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

TAQUEEN may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, misuse, security risks or unlawful activity.

13. Acceptable Use

You must not use the website or services to:

  • Commit or support unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.
  • Interfere with the website’s security or operation.
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code or automated attacks.
  • Collect information about other users without authorisation.
  • Copy, scrape or exploit website content for unauthorised commercial purposes.
  • Submit unlawful, infringing, offensive or misleading customisation materials.

14. Intellectual Property

The TAQUEEN name, branding, website content, product photography, text, graphics, designs and other materials owned or lawfully used by TAQUEEN are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the website for personal shopping and information purposes. No content may be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may rely on or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, analytics platforms and social-media services.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. TAQUEEN is not responsible for an external service outside its reasonable control, but this does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Availability and Website Operation

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available. However, access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

TAQUEEN may update, suspend or discontinue a website feature where reasonably necessary, without affecting orders already accepted except where fulfilment becomes impossible.

17. Responsibility and Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable UAE consumer-protection law.

To the extent permitted by law, TAQUEEN will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the order was accepted.

TAQUEEN is not responsible for loss caused by the customer’s misuse of a product, failure to follow care or storage instructions, inaccurate information supplied by the customer or unauthorised alteration of a product.

18. Privacy

Personal information is handled according to the TAQUEEN Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, shared and protected and how privacy requests may be submitted.

19. Changes to These Terms

TAQUEEN may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, business practices or legal requirements. Revised Terms will be published with an updated effective date.

The Terms applicable to an order are generally those in effect when that order is accepted, unless a change is required by law.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

If a dispute arises, the customer and TAQUEEN should first attempt to resolve it through good-faith communication. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from using rights or remedies available under applicable UAE law.
